Trail Description

 E-bikes allowed on Sawtooth

Sawtooth is a two mile black-diamond trail that connects Windy Pass to the Middle Fork. It’s often used as part of a bigger loop in the Timponogas area. The highlight is the amazing views of the Cascade Range as you cross the ridge of Sawtooth Mountain. It has the lush forest terrain typical of Oakridge and includes stands of pine, hemlock, and fir.

This class 3 trail is open to dirtbikes and to E Bikes. It is important that dirtbikers are aware of the special nature of these remote trails. DO NOT leave ruts, and do not abuse the area. The local land manager has considering shutting the area down to motorized use if people cannot keep the area as pristine as they found it. If you cannot ride around a tight switchback with a pivot turn, get off your bike and man handle it around the corner.

There are some fairly gnarly sections on Sawtooth – and if you are riding a traditional bike be prepared for significant Hike-a-Bike. If on a moto – ride with a partner.
