Trail Description

E-bikes NOT allowed on Burma Road

Burma Rd starts out as Burma Road trail and heads up the side of the canyon from Wolf Creek Trail in Smith Rock State Park. The trail portion is extremely steep, loose and technical. 95% of people will walk their bike up to the road portion of the climb.

Once to the road – turn left and ride the steep gravel road up to the top to connect to Grey Butte Trail and Summit Trail. This road is a grind at a consistent 15% grade. If you run a 1x setup you might be cursing your way up the hill. Views are great the entire way up and help ease the pain.

      Still steep.

    2. Brian Thomas Coop says:

Single track from the river up to the Road has been entirely rerouted/replaced with machine built wide/smooth tread – still steep. If you’re looking for the technical challenge of the old trail – it’s gone.

      1. Joe Myers says:

sad but expected. Not that I could ride up that section anyhow…

    3. Brian Coop says:

As good as it can be on the road. The trail portion is a bit marbley.

    4. Brandon Crummett says:

Shoulda climbed up Burma, but what the heck It was an exploratory ride… anyway its pretty much all hard pack/frozen and totally rideable. No ruts left behind by me what-so-ever!
