  • Dave Wardwell August 9, 2017 at 3:26 pmFlagline is closed until next week for the elk. It will be open next week.
  • Joe Myers August 7, 2017 at 7:38 pmI asked my FS contact. Will let ya know.
  • Brian Coop August 7, 2017 at 2:35 pmDoes anyone know why the "Trail Closed" sign is posted at the bottom of Lower Flagline instead of the Flagline Tie/Flagline intersection?
  • Robert Rekward August 5, 2017 at 7:29 amThere a pretty big tree down about two thirds of the way down Lower Flagline. Actually it’s two trees and some saplings that all shared the same root-ball.
  • Evan Smith July 6, 2017 at 6:15 pmAll trees cleared!

Trail Description

This section of Flagline is outside the summer Elk Calving Closure. This is a continuation of the long downhill on Middle Flagline and has quite a few technical, rocky sections heading down to Swampy Lakes area. The trail can get very sandy near the bottom late in the summer.

This trail is maintained by Central Oregon Trail Alliance.
